Christopher Maness, LCSW
Director of Clinical Services
My training and experience primarily focus on guiding survivors of domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, sexual assault, and childhood sexual abuse through the stages of trauma healing and recovery. I typically use a blend of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Using these approaches to access the mind-body relationship, we will work to cultivate a more organized, grounded, and alive connection to yourself and the world around you.
Clients often describe my approach as warm, gentle, and compassionate, with an informed perspective on trauma survivorship. In conjunction with these qualities, I aim for a paced, collaborative, and adaptive therapeutic process. To best tailor our work, I highly value your real-time feedback and input on what consistency and adjustments you might need along the way.
Having worked with a richly diversified range of identities and backgrounds, I regard one's culture, gender, sexual orientation, and fluidity of self as both a meaningful and essential part of our work together. Whether it is for individual or couple therapy, or other collaboration, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation to discuss your thoughts, ideas, and questions on what it might be like to work together.
